The Importance of Line Marking

Line Marking ADA Compliance

Do you manage a shopping center, building, school, factory, warehouse, or anywhere with a parking lot?

Freshen up your lot with seal coating and  line marking!

Sealcoating protects your asphalt from the weather, but it also beautifies the parking lot by providing a black, smooth, and even surface that’s ideal for clean line striping.

Why bother with line marking?

The most obvious reason is the aesthetics. A newly striped lot looks fresh and attractive.  It promotes a positive image, and shows that you look after your property.

But that’s not the only reason. Clean and clear line marking  helps direct the traffic flow, and keep drivers and pedestrians safe.

It’s not all just parking spaces, line marking also includes:

  • ADA-accessible areas
  • Arrows
  • Crosswalks
  • Lettering and Numbering
  • Fire lanes
  • Speed Bump Markings
  • Speed control marking
  • Safety signs

At Sable Asphalt, when we stripe over asphalt and concrete, we use Sherwin Williams industrial traffic paint coating that is formulated with lead-free pigments that do not contain any “active solvents”.  We can add reflective materials to help the lines show up clearly, even at night or during bad weather.

Our paint is applied using an airless striping machine that ensures a long-lasting, high quality marking.  Drying time is typically 30 minutes, although  traffic should stay off the lot for at least an hour.
